MCPD Investigating Sexual Assault at Germantown Community Recreation Center

Montgomery County Police are investigating a sexual assault of a middle school girl which occurred at the Germantown Community Center earlier this week.

   Police confirmed that the unidentified victim’s mother called police on Wednesday, May 28 to report that her 14-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted earlier that day at the Germantown Community Recreation Center at 18905 Kingsview Road in Germantown. According to MCPD spokesperson Rick Goodale, the victim and the suspect are both juveniles and were known to each other from attending the same middle school prior to the incident.

   Goodale said that police were called to the victim’s home at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday, May 28 and the incident took place earlier that day at about 4:00 pm at the recreation center. Goodale said that the incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed, and no arrests have been made.
