On Saturday, Safeway Stores District Manager Ed Tippett, and Steve Gold, the Store Director of the Germantown Safeway store awarded Melanie Jackson with a check for $10,000 at the Safeway Store in Germantown Town Center.

Jackson is an elementary school music teacher who has shopped at the Germantown Safeway for the last seven years. The Detroit native and her husband have two young children. The check presentation took place at the Safeway Store in Germantown on April 20.

The game will continue until about May 7 (or until all game tickets have been distributed).

Game pieces are earned by shopping at any Safeway location. Game boards are distributed at all Albertsons Companies stores. Safeway is one of the Boise, ID-based Albertsons Company brands.
