A three-vehicle collision left four people injured, one with traumatic injuries, and created traffic back ups on Clopper Road Friday night.
Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service and Montgomery County Police units responded to the intersection of Clopper Road and Allspice Drive in Germantown for the report of a multi-vehicle collision at about 8:30 pm on Friday, March 29.
Arriving Fire Rescue personnel found one person trapped in a vehicle suffering from traumatic injuries, according to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer. Firefighters had to cut the roof off of one car as they worked to extricate on patient, who was transported to a local hospital suffering from Priority 2 trauma injuries.
Piringer said MCFRS EMTs evaluated six patients and transported four, including the trauma patient, to local hospitals. The other three suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to fire officials.
MCPD had Clopper Road closed for a few hours as crews worked to extricate the patient and clean up the crash.
