Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Germantown

February 28, 2019

March will indeed come in like a lion as a winter storm could make the March 1 morning commute messy and create delays of closures of schools. Montgomery County Public Schools are already have a half-day planned for Friday, and are scheduled for early release day for students.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Germantown area and all of Montgomery County beginning at 10:00 pm tonight, Thursday night, February 28 until 10:00 am Friday morning, March 1. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. “Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the [Friday] morning commute,” said the National Weather Service.

National Weather Service said that Snow and sleet are expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches of snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Let's hope that that March will begin going out like a lamb before the end of the month.
