Missing Poolesville Man Found Safe

UPDATE: Montogmery County Police reported at 11:05 am on February 21 that Vaughn Lynn Ankeny has been located safe and unharmed.

 

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 1st District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Poolesville area man.

   Vaughn Lynn Ankeny, who goes by the name of Lynn, age 74, was last seen by family at approximately 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19, when he left his Jerusalem Church Road residence driving his olive color, 2005 Jeep Liberty with Maryland tags: 7CY7024.

   Ankeny is described as a white male, 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. He has blonde and grey hair and blue eyes.

   Police and family are concerned for Ankeny’s physical and emotional welfare.

   Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Vaughn Lynn Ankeny or his vehicle is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.
