Knife Wielding Man Robs CVS in Germantown

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate Tuesday’s armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy in Germantown. Investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

   On Tuesday, Feb, 12 at approximately 11:45 am, 5th District officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at the corner of Frederick Road and Middlebrook Road for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

   The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the CVS, displayed a knife, and confronted the adult female clerk who was behind the counter. The suspect threatened the clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect stole currency and then fled.

   The suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, covered his face with a mask and black gloves and can be seen in the video pointing what appears to be a large hunting knife at the clerk. The suspect eventually reaches over the counter and grabs money from the cash register. before leaving the store.

   Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
