Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Germantown Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Germantown area and all of Montgomery County beginning at 4:00 pm Saturday afternoon until 7:00 am Sunday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. “Plan on slippery road conditions. Total snow accumulations of 3- to 5-inches expected,” said the National Weather Service.

The area is bracing for the first storm of 2019 which will bring wintery weather to the Germantown area and all of Montgomery County and surrounding counties. “Be very careful if you venture outside tomorrow. Watch your first few steps in particular as your step or path may be coated with ice,” said the National Weather Service. “A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
