Police Report Four Vehicle Thefts in Early December

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from November 19 through December 15. 

   Police reported four stolen vehicles in Germantown between November 25 and December 6. The first was taken from the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive between approximately 6:00 pm on Nov. 25 and approximately 9:00 am on Nov. 26. Unknown entry. The vehicle was recovered on Dec. 5.

   Another vehicle theft occurred in the 12600 block of Grey Eagle Court between approximately 7:00 pm on Nov. 30 and approximately 7:45 am on Dec. 1. Unknown entry.

   A third stolen vehicle was reported in the 19900 block of Choctaw Court between approximately 11:25 pm on Dec. 4 and approximately 4:00 pm on Dec. 5. Unknown entry.

   A fourth vehicle theft occurred in the 19200 block of Esmond Terrace between approximately 7:00 pm on Dec. 5 and approximately 7:14 am on Dec. 6. Unknown entry.

   MCPD reported two violent incidents in Germantown. The first was a strong-arm robbery of a food delivery person which occurred in the 11200 block of Valley Bend Drive in Germantown at approximately 10:07 pm on Nov. 28. The suspects assaulted the adult male victim and took his cash. The victim/witness described suspects as three Black males of unknown ages.

   The second violent incident occurred at the Wal-Mart Store in the Milestone Shopping Center at 20900 Frederick Road where a man became enraged and attacked a another man. The incident occurred at about 6:34 pm on December 12. Police arrested David Leon Kelley, age 40; of Germantown in connection with the incident.

   Police reported 10 burglaries or attempted burglaries in the Germantown area. The first occurred in the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive between approximately 10:00 pm on Nov. 14 and approximately 3:00 am on Nov. 15. Forced entry; property was taken.

   A residential garage burglary occurred in the unit block of Dutrow Court between approximately 7:30 pm on Nov. 23 and approximately 8:14 am on Nov. 26. Forced entry; property was taken.

   A residential burglary occurred in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive between approximately 7:30 am and approximately 4:30 pm on Nov. 29. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

   A residential burglary and two attempted thefts from vehicles occurred at the same residence in the 23200 block of Arora Hills Drive in Clarksburg between approximately 11:00 pm on Dec. 2 and approximately 6:20 am on Dec. 3. No signs of forced entry, a door leading into the garage and both vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken.

   A residential burglary occurred in the 23700 block of Old Hundred Road between approximately 6:00 pm on Nov. 29 and approximately 9:30 am on Dec. 3. Forced entry; property was taken.

   There were two attempted burglaries and one residential garage burglary reported on Tuesday, December 11. The first attempted residential burglary took place in the 19200 block of Golden Meadow Drive between approximately 11:00 am and approximately 12:00 pm on Dec. 11.

   An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 20800 block of Amber Ridge Drive at approximately 1:30 pm on Dec. 11. Victim/Witness described suspects as: five males, races and ages unknown

   Another residential garage burglary and two thefts from vehicles occurred at the same residence in the 9200 block of Clematis Court in the early morning hours of Dec. 11. Forced entry into the garage; cash and property were taken.

   Police reported a residential burglary occurred in the 19400 block of Saint Johnsbury Lane between approximately 8:00 pm on Dec. 14 and approximately 8:00 am on Dec. 15. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

   Finally, an attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10100 block of Ridge Manor Terrace between approximately 10:20 pm and approximately 11:18 pm on Dec. 15.

   Montgomery County Police reported three commercial burglaries between Nov. 18 and Dec. 9. The first occurred at the Woodfield Country Store located at 23716 Woodfield Road in the early morning hours of Nov. 18. Forced entry; merchandise was taken. Police arrested a 15-year-old suspect from Damascus in connection with the burglary.

   The second commercial burglary occurred at Crabby John’s located at 26120 Woodfield Road between approximately 5:00 pm on Nov. 23 and approximately 9:00 am on Nov. 26. Forced entry; property was taken.

   A third attempted commercial burglary occurred at the Bennigan’s restaurant located at 22315 Frederick Road in Clarksburg between approximately 12:30 am and approximately 9:00 am on Dec. 9.

   Police also reported a number of theft from autos between Nov. 19 and Dec. 12, including:

   Two thefts from vehicles occurred between Nov. 19 and Nov. 24. One theft occurred in the 19500 block of Scenery Drive and one theft occurred in the 20500 block of Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown. Force was reported in one event; cash and property were taken.

   A theft from vehicle occurred in the 17400 block of Hoskinson Road in Poolesville between approximately 6:00 pm on Nov. 16 and approximately 9:00 am on Nov. 19. No force; property was taken.

   Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between approximately 5:30 pm on Nov. 28 and approximately 7:30 am on Nov. 29. Affected streets included the unit blocks of Mill Pond Court and Observation Court in Germantown. No force; cash was taken.

   A theft from vehicle occurred in the 11100 block of Knights Court between approximately 11:00 am on Dec. 8 and approximately 9:40 am on Dec. 10. No force; property was taken.

   Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 10000 block of Lewis Drive in the early morning hours of Dec. 12. Force was reported in one event; property was taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on December 28.
