Santa Claus is Coming to Town: Germantown Volunteer Fire Dept. Releases 2018 Schedule

Santa Claus is coming to town... This weekend!  The Germantown Volunteer Fire Department have released the 2018 schedule for Santa Rides.

   Santa started touring Germantown with members of the Germantown Volunteer Fire Department last weekend with the area near Waters Landing, and the tour will continue on Friday, Dec. 7 in the Germantown Park and Mateny Road area of Germantown. Santa will tour the neighborhoods near McNair Elementary School and Kingsview Middle School on Saturday, Dec. 8.

   On Wednesday, Dec. 19, Santa and the firefighters will visit the area around Captain Daly Elementary and Brandermill Road, and Gunners Branch Road.

  Santa will return on Friday, Dec. 21 to tour the areas around Gibbs Elementary School, near Observation Drive, and Milestone Manor Drive, and the Milestone Shopping Center, and then head up to the area near Sally K Ride Elementary School.

  On Saturday, Dec. 22, Santa and the firefighters will visit the area around Forest Brook Road, Roberto Clemente Middle School, and the Gunners Lake area of town.

   Santa and the members of the GVFD remind parents that Santa unable to visit every street in every neighborhood. They ask everyone to be safe and keep an eye out for Santa. Firefighters remind everyone that the kids will hear Santa and his elves coming.

   The Germantown Volunteer Fire Department is, once again selling Christmas Trees this year. They are offering Fraser Fir trees from Indiana, Pa.  Tree Prices are: 6-7-foot trees for $50; 7-8-foot trees for $60; 8-9-foot trees for $70.

   The Tree Lot is open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Cash and check are preferred, but GVFD can take credit cards.
