Three teenagers from the Germantown area have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.
The three new Eagle Scouts are Cory Michael Knopp, Jesse Anthony Bradle, and Manav Talreja, all of Boyds. They all achieved the Eagle Rank earlier this year and will be honored at the Boy Scouts’ Court of Honor Ceremony to be held on December 15. The three are members of Boy Scout Troop 1325 of the Seneca District, chartered by Trinity Methodist Church in Germantown.
To earn the rank of Eagle, a Scout must earn at least 21 merit badges and demonstrate leadership and community service by organizing and carrying out an Eagle project.
Cory Knopp achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on June 27. He is the son of Ken and Brenda Knopp, and brother to Kendra and Kayla Knopp. For his project, Cory developed a U.S. Flag collection program that established collection locations at Trinity Methodist Church and Mother Seton Parish in Germantown.
