Detectives Investigate Weekend Home Invasion Robbery in Darnestown

October 31, 2018

Montgomery County Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that took place on Seneca Road on Saturday night, and left two people tied up and another with a head wound.

On Tuesday, MCPD spokesman Officer Rick Goodale confirmed police responded to the incident which took place at a home in the 14600 block of Seneca Road, which is near the intersection with Esworthy Road at about 9:27 pm on Saturday.

Goodale said that police found one man and a juvenile male were bound and the man was suffering from a laceration to the head, which was originally thought to be a gunshot wound. However, no shots were fired.

A woman and a juvenile female were also on the property at the time of the home invasion. Goodale said that property was stolen from the home and detectives were working to investigate if the suspects were known to the victims.

Initial reports heard over the police radio indicated that four suspects possibly wearing masks were involved in the incident, although Goodale could not confirm this.
