Police Release Identity of Churchill Ridge Circle Homicide Victim

Montgomery County Police have released the name of the 20-year-old male who was shot and killed overnight on Churchill Ridge Circle in Germantown.

   Police have identified the victim as Stephen Alexander Frazier, a resident of Germantown. Officials have not said if he lived at the street where first responders found him suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper-body after mid-night on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

   MCPD spokesperson Rick Goodale that it was too early for investigators to know if the victim knew his killer, but he said that this “should be a closable case.”

   According to police, 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue units were called to the 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle at approximately 12:30 am on Tuesday. Upon arrival, first responders found Stephen Frazier suffering from an apparent gunshot wound outside. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

   The shooting remains an active and ongoing investigation. As additional information can be confirmed, it will be released. Anyone with information regarding this death investigation is urged to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070.
