Northwest Girls Defeat a Scrappy Seneca Valley Team, 3-0

In another Home/Away game, where the away team was the “technically the home” team the Seneca Valley Lady Eagles “hosted” the Northwest Lady Jags at the Northwest field on Monday night, and while the Lady Eagles came up short, the young Seneca Valley team showed some future promise in the 3-0 loss.

The Lady Jags entered the game with a record of 5-2-1, while the Lady Eagles were 3-5 before Monday night’s matchup of cross-town rivals.

The Lady Jags scored two goals in the first half, and one in the second half to earn their sixth victory of the season. Northwest goalkeeper Sophia Anthony earned her fourth shutout of the season. The Seneca Valley team all wore orange hair ribbons in memory of Josh Snyder, the Northwest student who tragically died in a car crash the week before the game.
