Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from September 11 through September 25.
Montgomery County Police report that an adult male was involved in an aggravated assault, which left him with several slashes to this abdomen after getting into an altercation with a group of young men on Falling Water Circle.
Police say the incident took place at 5:20 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in the 13200 block of Falling Water Circle in Germantown. The victim was transported by MCFRS to a local hospital suffering several lacerations to his abdomen caused by what police say was a box-cutter like weapon.
According to police, the victim, who was a male in his twenties, was walking when he was approached by five suspects. The victim and one of the suspects engaged in an argument of some kind which escalated and ended with the victim being cut by the suspect with what appeared to be a box-cutter. Police do not believe that the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The five suspects are black males of unknown ages, who fled from the area after the incident.
In a separate incident, police arrested a 14-year-old boy after he was part of a group of six youths who assaulted and robbed three victims on Friday night, Sept. 14. Police reported that three juvenile victims were assaulted and robbed as they walked through the parking lot of the Cloppers Mill Shopping Center at 18080 Mateny Road on Friday, Sept. 14 at 9:54 pm. MCPD said six black male suspects assaulted the three juvenile male victims from behind as they walked in the parking lot between McDonalds and CVS. The suspects stole two cell phones and one pair of sneakers from the victims. One of the assailants was arrested.
Montgomery County Police reported two residential burglaries in the 5th District which occurred in the following areas:
The first residential burglary occurred in the 20300 block of Century Boulevard between approximately 7:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and approximately 8:00 am Wednesday, Sept. 19 Forced entry; nothing was taken.
The second took place in the 13200 block of Waterford Hills Boulevard between approximately 9:00 am and approximately 4:00 pm on Monday, Sept. 24. In this case, police report no signs of forced entry; however, property was taken.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on October 4.
