One Injured After School Bus Collision in Germantown

Fire Rescue officials report that one adult was injured when a Montgomery County School bus was struck by vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service senior spokesman Pete Piringer, no children were injured in the incident which took place at approximately 3:30 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 2 near the intersection of Waters Landing Drive and Burnt Woods Drive.
School officials confirmed that the bus was transporting students from Martin Luther King Middle School located on Wisteria Drive when it was struck from behind by a white SUV. Derek Turner with Montgomery County Public Schools said confirmed that no students were injured.
Piringer said that one adult female was evaluated by EMS for knee pain after the incident. She was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance 734.
Students on the bus were transported to a second bus and the bus continued on its assigned route to get the students home.
