Northwest Volleyball Remains Unbeaten in Campaign to Quadpeat as State Champs
The Northwest Lady Jaguars volleyball team has accumulated a record of 94-1 since 2015. The Lady Jags have not lost a match since October 19, 2016, all on the way to winning three Maryland State 4A Championships. The Lady Jags are a juggernaut, and they are on hoping to claim their fourth-straight title.
Northwest and Head Coach Stephanie Blake have an unblemished 6-0 record thus far in 2018 and have not lost a game or match. The Lady Jags continued their unbeaten streak with a 3-0 victory over cross-town rival Seneca Valley on Tuesday night. The victory adds the Lady Eagles to the list of teams which the Jags has beaten this year which also
includes Whitman, Northwood, Poolesville, Gaithersburg, and Watkins Mill.
The recent history of these two schools volleyball programs could not be more different, while Northwest has seen an abundance of success, Seneca has struggled. Seneca won just two games last season. However, with just three seniors and just three games into the season, the Lady Eagles have already won half the number of games they won last season. The young Seneca defeated Wheaton 3-0 back on Sept. 11.
