BlackRock to Host Open House to Feature Major Discounts on Tickets for Upcoming Shows

Germantown’s hometown arts center the BlackRock Center for the Arts will host an Open House on Saturday which will feature the usual family friendly activities and goodies, but will also feature major discounts on ticket packages for the upcoming BlackRock Shows, as well as a chance to win season tickets valued at $10,000.

This Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, BlackRock for the Arts opens its doors for three hours to offer colossal savings on all 2018-2019 season offerings, in addition to sample of fall classes, previews of upcoming stage performances, award-winning movie trailers, and fun-filled activities for the entire family. This Open House will launch the sale of individual season tickets to over 80 performances at BlackRock’s incredibly diverse season. To save 50 percent on all individual tickets, patrons are encouraged to RSVP now. The BlackRock season includes series featuring Singer/Songwriter, Bluegrass, Blues, Celtic, Comedy, Film, Jazz, Signature Theatre Cabaret, Tenors, Theater and Eclectic Series. This offer is only good when registered in advance online for purchase on site during the Open House.

In addition, anyone in attendance who did not have a chance to RSVP in advance will still be eligible to receive up to 25 percent off on individual season tickets, as well as discounts on rentals and selected classes.

Plus, all guests can enter to win two tickets to all performance this season, a huge prize valued at over $10,000.

BlackRock’s Open House will offer workshops for adults and children with both performing and visual artists, previews of our upcoming award-winning documentary film series, and showcases of upcoming stage performances, as well as a sample of our prize-winning classes. Live appearances include Kuchipudi Classical Indian Dance, Soul in Motion West African Drumming, and interview with Elizabeth Lucas, director of ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE, Maryland Classical Youth Orchestra, and rising stars from Kensington Arts Theater Second Stage. Adults and children will have a chance to participate in a variety of workshops including: Cartooning, Piano, Stand-Up Comedy, Improv, Hip-Hop for kids and more! There is something for everyone and lots of fun to be had – rain or shine.
