GGCC Named to Washington Business Journal’s List of Largest Chambers of Commerce in D.C.

August 9, 2018

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC), a vital, dynamic organization of 418 members, including cutting-edge biotech firms, manufacturing companies, real estate development organizations, restaurants and hotels, has been named to the Washington Business Journal’s List of Largest Chambers in Greater D.C. This is the eighth time the GGCC has been named to the list, consecutively.

“We are honored to be recognized for our continued work supporting the missions of so many Upcounty businesses,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC President.

The GGCC fosters business-to-business relationships through monthly business networking events throughout the year in efforts to support the start of new businesses in Montgomery County Maryland. The Chamber is committed to business & community partnerships in education and other areas of mutual interest.

The Chamber strives to “serve, represent and be the leading advocate for the interests of its membership in ways that enhance the business environment, quality of life, and well-being of their unique communities”.

They are one of the most influential forces in local government and regional economic development. As one of the largest chambers in Montgomery County, their legislative agenda is based on business issues that impact their members. The goal is to work with local city, county and state lawmakers to strengthen, enhance and protect businesses.

Whether you are starting a new business in Maryland or simply looking for opportunities to grow, the GGCC has the resources and opportunities you are looking for: business-to-business networking, a collective voice in local, regional, and state legislative affairs, professional development opportunities and other services that enhance the business environment.
