Clarksburg Premium Outlets Celebrates Maryland Tax Free Holiday Week

With another school year around the corner, Clarksburg Premium Outlets is gearing up to help local shoppers find enormous savings on all of the back-to-school necessities this season! From Sunday, August 12 to Saturday, August 18, families can take advantage of the Maryland Tax-Free holiday and stock up on the stylish clothing, shoes, backpacks and more from sought-after brands, including Gap Factory Store, Old Navy Factory Store and Under Armour. In addition, guests can look forward to free, family-friendly activities taking place throughout the week.

   Throughout tax-free week, families can take advantage of premium savings including tax-free purchases of clothing and shoes under $100, while shopping every day savings of up to 65 percent. In addition, the first $40 of a backpack purchase is also tax-free. Shoppers can join the VIP Shopper Club for free online access to exclusive online coupons, a voucher for a free VIP Coupon Book with discounts at over 40 retailers and more.  

   Free Special Events:

   • Musical Story Telling with Peter Burroughs, August 12 at 11:00 am. Little ones can stop by Center Court near Market Hall for an engaging, musical performance by the critically acclaimed artist Peter Burroughs.

   • Ballet Performance and Dance Classes with Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy, August 12 and August 18 at noon. Calling all dance enthusiasts. Guests are invited watch performances of Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy students in Center Court. Attendees are invited to stick around to learn a few dance moves in a free, interactive outdoor dance class.

   • Summer Family Fun Wednesdays, August 15 at 6:00 pm. Families are invited to visit Center Court for a musical performance by Cantaré, featuring Argentinean vocalist Cecilia Esquivel and guitarist Dani Cortaza. The D.C.-based group will teach guests about Latin American geography, history and culture through song. In addition, kids 12 and under can enjoy a free meal at participating restaurants, including Currito Burrito, Johnny Rockets, Rise Pies Handcrafted Pizza and more with the purchase of an adult entrée.    •   Hip Hop Music Experience with Jamaal Collier, August 18 at 11:00 am. Shoppers of all ages can visit Center Court for a performance featuring elements of theater, rap and vocal percussion, sure to have attendees dancing and clapping along throughout the show.

   •   Bike Rodeo and Touch-A-Truck with Montgomery County Police Department, August 18. After finding the latest back-to-school trends, kids are encouraged bring their bikes and safety equipment to parking lot B to meet with the Montgomery County Police Department and learn safety tips while riding through an obstacle course. Families can also explore police and first responder vehicles on-site.
