UPDATE: Missing Woman Located Safe

UPDATE: On Aug. 5, MCPD reported that Kira Close has been located.  She is safe and unharmed. Police thank the media and the public for their assistance in publicizing this case.

 

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – 6th District Investigative Section, are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Germantown woman.

   Kira Close, 29 years old, left her Clopper Road residence on the morning of Friday, August 3. Close is described as a female of Indian descent. She is 5-foot, 3-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has long black hair with waves, has brown eyes, and wears glasses. At the time she left her home she was wearing a larger, dark green t-shirt, unknown color sweatpants, and flip flops.

   Close is known to frequent the Kentlands area of Gaithersburg and the Georgia Avenue corridor in downtown Silver Spring.

   Police and family are concerned for Close’s welfare. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kira Close is urged to contact the Montgomery County Police at 301.279.8000.
