Public Forum Planned to Discuss RideOn Route Changes

July 27, 2018

A public forum on proposed changes to three Ride On routes will be held on Wednesday, August 8, starting at 6:30 pm and ending after the last speaker. The forum will be located at the Sidney Kramer UpCounty Regional Services Center, located at 12900 Middlebrook Road, Suite 1000 in Germantown. If the forum is postponed due to inclement weather, it will be held on August 9.

Proposed changes will improve service on three bus routes. Route 43 which runs along Shady Grove Road from Traville Transit Center to the Shady Grove Metro Station, which is proposed to have new Sunday service; Route 76 which runs from Poolesville along Rt. 28 through the Kentlands to the Shady Grove Metro, which is proposed to have new Saturday service; and Route 90 which runs from Damascus along Rt. 128 to Shady Grove Metro Station, which will get new midday service. For additional information, please access the Ride On web site at www.rideonbus.com.

Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to speak at the public forum are requested to submit a written request, on or before Sunday, August 5, to the Division of Transit Services, Ride On Public Forum, 101 Monroe Street, 5th Floor, Rockville, Maryland 20850. Such requests should include name, home address, telephone number, email address and organization. Individuals signed up to speak must bring two print copies of their testimony for the record.
