MoCo Parks Closes All Natural-Surface Trails in County Parks

July 24, 2018

Montgomery Parks has closed all natural-surface trails to the public until further notice. Forecast excessive rain can create dangerous conditions along trails for park users and adversely affect the integrity of the trails.

Montgomery Parks will continue to provide weather related updates at www.MontgomeryParks.org, on our Facebook page, and Twitter account. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for most of Montgomery County through Friday, July 27.

Montgomery Parks maintains more than 170 miles of natural surface trails in Montgomery County.

Additional Montgomery Parks and facilities that are closed due to weather include the Mountain Bike and BMX Pump Track at South Germantown Recreational Park, the Cabin John Miniature Train and Wheaton Miniature Train and Carousel.
