Woman Dies After She is Struck by Her Own Vehicle
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal pedestrian-involved collision that occurred Sunday morning, July 15 in Boyds, when police say a woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving somehow rolled over her.
According to police, at approximately 8:48 am on Sunday, July 15, 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units responded to the parking lot of St. Mark’s Methodist Church at 19620 White Ground Road for the report of collision.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Kathleen Virginia Howard, age 83, of Clovercrest Circle in Olney, had exited her 2006 Lexus RX 330 in the church parking lot. Her vehicle rolled backward and she was struck. Detectives are still investigating where Howard was in relation to the vehicle when she was struck.
The patient was transported by MCFRS to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
