UPDATE: Germantown Man Missing Since July 3 Found Safe
UPDATE: At 8:22 am on Thursday, July 5, MCPD reported that Chein Ngo Chaing, the Germantown man who had been missing since July 3 had been located safe and unharmed.
Detectives from the 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Germantown man.
Chein Ngo Chaing, 53, was last seen by family members at approximately 11:00 am, on Monday, July 2, when he left his home on Fountain Club Drive on foot.
MCPD spokesman Officer Rick Goodale said that this is not the first time Chaing has gone missing. He was reported missing to the police back on May 15. According to Goodale, Chaing has no vehicle, no money, and has some medical issues. Other times when he has gone missing, he has been found as far away as Wheaton.
Chaing is described as an Asian male, approximately 5-foot, 10-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and goatee. Chaing was last seen wearing a blue shirt, light blue jeans, and red and gray shoes.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Chein Ngo Chaing is asked to call the 24-hour police non-emergency line at 301-279-8000.
