Lady Jags Repeat as 4A West Champs After 10-0 Victory Over BCC

On the way to their second straight 4A West Regional Championship, the Lady Jags did what they’ve done all season. They piled on hits and let their outstanding sophomore pitcher lead the way as they shut out Bethesda Chevy-Chase 10-0 in six innings.

The Jags came into the game with a record of 16-2, after vanquishing Clarksburg and Quince Orchard in the first two rounds of the postseason, while the Lady Barons had a record of 12-6 coming off of wins over Whitman, and Einstein on route to the regional title game.

The Lady Barons could not quite figure out how to get on base against Northwest’s Amber Yuille, who allowed just two hits, one walk and struck out seven Barons batters. The sophomore sat down nine of the first ten BCC batters through three innings, allowing just a walk in the first inning.
