Public Storage Facility Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from April 1 through April 17. 

   Police report that the Public Storage located at 12423 Middlebrook Road was robbed by a man and woman on Friday, April 6. According to police the two suspects walked into the office of the Public Storage at approximately 9:58 am and demanded money. The female displayed a black handgun. The adult male clerk handed over $100 from the register and was forced to give his wallet and iPhone. Police said the race and age of the suspects was not known.

   In November, the same Public Storage location was victimized by burglars who were able to break into over 100 storage units over the Thanksgiving Holiday and make off with stolen property.

   MCPD report that the Woodside Deli at 13048 Middlebrook Road was the site of a commercial burglary occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, April 9. Forced entry; cash was taken.

   Police report that a burglars broke into a Germantown church but came away empty handed. Police report a commercial burglary occurred at the Salem United Methodist Church located at 23725 Ridge Road in Germantown between approximately 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11 and approximately 9:15 am on Thursday, April 12. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

   MCPD report four residential burglaries and one attempted residential burglary in the first two weeks of April.

   The residential burglary took place in Clarksburg. Police say that a home in the 21900 block of Fulmer Avenue in Clarksburg was burglarized between approximately 2:30 pm on Friday, March 30 and approximately 8:30 am on Monday, April 2. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.

   Another residential burglary occurred in the 19100 block of Highstream Drive in Germantown at approximately 4:35 pm on Tuesday, April 3. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

   Police report that a theft from vehicle, residential garage burglary, and residential burglary occurred at the same residence in the 14200 block of Brass Wheel Road in Germantown between approximately 11:30 pm on Thursday, April 5 and approximately 6:30 am on Friday, April 6. No signs of forced entry, the vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked and the suspect(s) used the garage door opener to open the garage, the door leading into the house was also reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

   MCPD reported an attempted residential burglary occurred in the 24600 block of Marlboro Drive in Damascus between approximately 11:15 pm and approximately 11:20 pm on Wednesday, April 11.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on May 4, 2018.
