In what is NOT an April Fools Day joke, it pains us to report that the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Montgomery County, including Germantown and areas north and west, which will go into effect from 2:00 am Monday until 11:00 am Monday, April 2.
According to the NWS, “Rain will develop overnight and change to snow early Monday morning before ending. Most of the accumulations will occur on grassy and unpaved surfaces, however plan for the potential of slippery roads, including during the morning commute on Monday. Expect reduced visibilities at times.”
The Advisory says, “Wet snow expected. Total wet snow accumulations of one to two inches are expected.”
A Winter Weather Advisory for wet snow means periods of wet snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
