For the second time this week a vehicle has driven into a second area restaurant which does not have a drive-thru.
On Wednesday afternoon a car somehow ended up driving into and through the exterior wall of the Taste of New Orleans restaurant at 14125 Seneca Road in Darnestown. Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units were called to the Cajun eatery shortly before 2:00 pm on March 28.
MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer said that no restaurant patrons were injured, but EMS evaluated the three occupants of the sedan, which experienced airbag deployment from the impact, for non-life threatening injuries. Due to the damage to the structure and building inspector was called to the scene.
Two days earlier, on Monday morning, Germantown Pulse reported that a collision led to an Orkin service vehicle crashing into and damaging the Chipotle restaurant at the corner of Century Boulevard and Crystal Rock Drive. Since the eatery was closed, no one inside was injured, but both drivers involved in the collision were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone dining out in the Germantown area may want to request a table near the middle of the restaurant away from roads or parking lots, at least for the rest of this week.
