Firefighters ‘Knock Down’ Porch Fire in Germantown



Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units were called to the 19500 block of White Saddle Drive for an outside fire on Monday night, March 19, 2018.


The initial report was for a brush fire in the area, firefighters discovered a porch/deck on fire and extinguished the fire, according to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer. The fire reported at approximately 8:43 pm and the fire fighters had the fire “knocked” and out by 9:00 pm. There was no extension of fire into the building and no injuries were reported.
