Man Beaten Unconscious and Robbed By Attacker
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from December 25 through January 9.
Police report an adult male victim was assaulted from behind by an attacker and beaten until he blacked out as he walked home in the area of Father Hurley Boulevard and Waterford Hills Boulevard in Germantown. The strong-arm robbery took place in the early morning hours of the New Year on January 1. Once the man was unconscious, the attacker stole his wallet and smartphone.
Police also reported a road rage incident, in which a man displayed a handgun after a verbal altercation with another driver. On Tuesday, Jan. 2, two drivers got into an argument after one driver allegedly cut the other driver off in the 12900 block of Wisteria Drive at about 10:57 am. According to police, the male driver, between 40- and 50-years old, was in a silver SUV crossover type vehicle and showed the other driver a handgun.
A residential burglary occurred in the 17100 block of Indian Grass Drive in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 31. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
MCPD also reported an attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12600 block of Horseshoe Bend Circle in Clarksburg at approximately 4:52 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
An attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the 12100 block of Island View Circle in Germantown between approximately 6:00 pm on January 1 and approximately 8:00 am on January 2.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on January 19.
