New Year, same unbeaten Jags. The Northwest boys basketball team continued the winning streak on Tuesday with a decisive 70-41 victory over the Poolesville Falcons.
The now 7-0 Jags put 1-7 Poolesville away early scoring 41 in the first half, thanks in large part to James Assiongbon’s eight-point first quarter. The Falcons’ Ryan Haddaway led all scorers with 16 points, including five field goals, and two from beyond the arc.
