Homicide Detectives Investigating Death of Adult Male in Germantown Townhouse

Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the death of an adult male who was found by police this afternoon inside a townhouse in the 12500 block of Cross Ridge Way in Germantown.

   On Wednesday, January 3 at approximately 3:51 pm, 5th District officers responded to a suspicious situation circle of the townhouse development located off Cross Ridge Drive, which is behind the Germantown Square Shopping Plaza where the Dutch Market is located.  First responders located an adult male with trauma to his body deceased in the residence.

   This death is being investigated as a homicide.  An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. More details will be released as they become available.

   As police were conducting preliminary interviews and crime scene investigators were arriving on the scene, friends and family members of the deceased were distraught, some shouted and cursed at 5th District officers securing the scene. 5th District Commander Capt. Mark Plazinski was on the scene.

  This is the second homicide in Germantown in 30 days. On December 16, first responders found 18-year-old Andrew Douglas Turner shot to death in his apartment in the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle in Germantown. Police have not said if the two incidents are connected.
