Don’t Forget the Gravy: Woman Threatens Popeye’s Employee at Knifepoint for Gravy
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from November 23 through December 5.
Police are looking for a woman who was so upset that she didn’t get gravy with her chicken order she pulled out a knife and threatened the Popeyes employees to get her gravy.
Police report that a female walked in to the Popeyes restaurant located at 19911 Frederick Road at approximately 1:23 pm on Saturday, Dec. 2 and began complaining to employees that she ordered gravy and paid for gravy with her order and didn’t receive it. She became irate and walked behind the counter of the restaurant and displayed a knife in an effort to show how serious she was about getting the gravy she believed she was owed. She left with the gravy.
MCPD reported another armed robbery set up using an online sale app occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 26, but this one was set up by and individual posing as a seller on the OfferUp app, and told the buyer to meet in the 19900 block of Sweetgum Circle at about 4:08 pm. The victim contacted someone who was allegedly selling an Apple iWatch on the OfferUp app. When the buyer arrived he was met by three individuals, one of which displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect stole the victim’s cash and iphone.
Police reported an attempted armed robbery in the 12200 block of St. Peter Court at approximately 7:10 pm on Friday, Nov. 22. Police said an adult male victim was walking and approached by an unknown black male who displayed a weapon and demanded cash and his iPhone.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Johnny Rockets restaurant located at 22705 Clarksburg Road between approximately 9:50 pm on December 2 and approximately 9:30 am on December 3. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; cash was taken.
Police arrested a 24-year-old New Jersey man in connection with a residential burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Ledbury Way at approximately 3:00 pm on November 26. Arrested was Jared Norman, 24 of North Brunswick, NJ.
A residential burglary occurred in the 20200 block of Sweet Meadow Lane between approximately 11:00 am on November 21 and approximately 8:00 pm on November 24. Forced entry; property was taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 11700 block of Tall Pines Drive in the early morning hours of November 22.
A residential burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Brink Road in the early morning hours of November 23. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 18700 block of Summer Oak Court between approximately 1:00 pm and approximately 11:00 pm on November 23. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road between approximately 8:45 am and approximately 5:45 pm on November 29. Forced entry; property was taken.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred between November 27 and November 29. Affected streets included Crystal Hill Circle, Amaranth Drive, and Walnut Creek Court. No force; cash and property were taken. One suspect was arrested in connection with the Walnut Creek Court theft from auto. Police reported the arrest of Shaheem Kearse, 22, of Germantown.
