Victim in Saturday’s Homicide Was a Germantown Teen



The Montgomery County Police have released that Andrew Douglas Turner, 18, was the victim of the fatal shooting which happened Saturday night, Dec. 16 at a residence in the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle in Germantown.

Police received a call at the Emergency Call Center received at 4:36 pm on Saturday, reporting that a man had been shot. The caller said that a male subject had been shot. First responders to the apartment complex, known as The Fields of Germantown, found a deceased male in the home with an apparent gunshot wound.

Anyone with information regarding this death is urged to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070. Those tipsters who wish to remain anonymous and eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.00, may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

The shooting death has rocked Germantown. It is the third shooting in Germantown in a week. Earlier last week, on Tuesday, Dec 12, two men were shot outside of the McDonald’s restaurant at 19660 Gunners Branch Road. While the identities of the victims remain undisclosed, police said that the first victim is a 26-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body and is a 27-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. Their injuries are described as non-life threatening. Both victims were transported to an area hospital. Police have not yet made any arrests in that case.
