Police Investigating Shooting Death at Germantown Apartment Complex

The Montgomery County Police homicide unit is investigating the shooting death of an adult male at an apartment complex in Germantown Town Center.
   Police say that the Emergency Call Center received a call at 4:36 pm on Saturday, December 16 from the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle reporting that a male subject had been shot. The caller said that a male subject had been shot.

   First responders to the apartment complex, known as The Fields of Germantown, found a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound. News reports indicate that the deceased was found in the stairwell of the apartment. 

   Police have not released the name and age of the deceased, but believe that he is a resident of that address. Police have not released the victim’s age, but sources tell Germantown Pulse that the victim was a young man, late teens or early twenties.

   Anyone with information regarding this death is urged to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070. Those tipsters who wish to remain anonymous and eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.00, may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

   This is the third reported shooting in Germantown this week. On Tuesday, Dec 12, two men were shot outside of the McDonald’s restaurant at 19660 Gunners Branch Road. While the identities of the victims remain undisclosed, police said that the first victim is a 26-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body and is a 27-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. Their injuries are described as non-life threatening. Both victims were transported to an area hospital. Police have not yet made any arrests in that case.
