No Students Injured in MCPS School Bus Collision

A Montgomery County Public Schools bus was involved in a collision this morning in front of Fire Station 22 on Germantown Road and Clopper Road.

   The incident happened at about 9:45 am Wednesday morning when a school bus carrying children to the Longview School collided with another vehicle. MCPS spokesman Derek Turner confirmed that there were two students on the bus at the time of the minor collision. Both students were evaluated for injuries by MCFRS EMS, but none suffered any serious injury.

   The Longview School is located at 13900 Bromfield Road, and is a special education school for children with disabilities. It shares a building with Matsunaga Elementary School.

   MCFRS spokesman Pete Piringer confirmed that no students were transported by EMS, however, a student who was in the SUV involved in the collision was transported with to a local hospital for a checkup after minor injuries and MCPD was investigating the collision.
