Bloom Medicinals to host Medical Marijuana Panel Discussion

Bloom Medicinals, the company which will open a medical marijuana dispensary in Germantown, has announced that on December 19 the company will bring together a panel of experts to discuss medical marijuana in Maryland.

On Tuesday, Dec. 19, the Bloom Medicinals staff will be joined by Dr. Shivani Amin, CEO of Green Health Docs, Brian Sanderoff, Clinical Director at Curio Wellness and Adam Kavalier, Chief Science Officer at Holistic Industries to discuss a variety of topics related to medical marijuana and the Maryland medical cannabis program. The event will be held at The Highlands at Germantown located at 20260 Goldenrod Lane in Germantown. The panel discussion will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Cannabis has been shown to reduce anxiety, relieve chronic pain, and slow the progression of cancer and chronic conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Research indicates it may also ease symptoms associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, epilepsy and a variety of other qualifying medical conditions.

Experts will present information on the history of cannabis, talk about the latest medical marijuana research, discuss approved methods of administration, product availability, qualifying medical conditions, responsible use practices and more.

"Engagement with the local community is a key part of our mission at Bloom Medicinals," said Bloom co-founder Nicole van Rensburg, “education and engagement forms the backbone of our dispensaries. We believe that the more information patients have, the better able they are to take control of their health and well-being."

During the event, Bloom Medicinals will provide instruction on how to get a medical marijuana card in Maryland. Certified Physicians will be available to see patients and write medical marijuana card recommendations. To obtain a medical marijuana recommendation from a physician you must have a qualifying condition and meet all state criteria. To book an appointment you must call (240) 813-8818.

There will also be giveaways, coupons and discounts on medical marijuana products and Bloom Medicinals staff will be on hand to assist patients with the Maryland patient registration process. Prospective patients, caregivers and family members will have an opportunity to speak with the experts and ask questions during the event. Space is limited and events fill up fast so reserve your spot by calling (240) 813-8818 or clicking on the Bloom Event Page.
