Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Germantown Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Germantown area beginning at 12:00 am tonight until 4:00 pm Saturday afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. “Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving,” said the National Weather Service.

The area is bracing for the first snow storm of the winter which will bring wintery weather to the Germantown area and all of Montgomery County and surrounding counties. Snow is expected begin falling overnight after 12:00 am, Friday, Dec. 8 and continue overnight making travel conditions hazardous, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is expected after midnight tonight through 4:00 pm on Saturday. The National Weather Service is forecasting snow for tonight with accumulations of around 2- to 4-inches of snow for the Germantown area.
