Montgomery County Council to Host Town Hall Meeting for Students On Wednesday
The Montgomery County Council wants to know what is on the minds of younger residents when it hosts its seventh annual Town Hall Meeting for youth on Wednesday, November 29 at the Council Office Building in Rockville. The meeting, in the Council’s Third Floor Hearing Room, will start at 7:00 pm.
A pre-meeting reception will begin at 6 p.m. in the building’s second-floor cafeteria. At the reception, students will have a chance to meet with Councilmembers and talk with them in an informal setting. Also at the reception, from 6-6:30 p.m., Councilmembers will recognize the finalists for the Councilmember for a Day Challenge and Councilmember Craig Rice, who serves a chair of the Council’s Education Committee, will announce the winner of the challenge. The remainder of the reception is for students to visit with Councilmembers.
