Northwest Beats Richard Montgomery in the Final Seconds to Advance in the Playoffs

It wasn’t the 30.5 point average margin of victory the Jaguars have been accustomed to this season, but the 10-7 victory in the final seconds over Richard Montgomery was a thing of beauty to Northwest fans.

The Jags got some payback on the Rockets, for ending their season in the first round of the playoffs last year. The 8-2 Jags have advanced to play the rival 9-1 Quince Orchard Cougars in Darnestown on Friday.

Last Friday’s game in Germantown was low scoring, but a nail-biter for Jags fans. Both teams would play stout defense all game. Northwest got the scoring going in the first quarter. Jags senior quarterback Chris Craddock connected with Alphonso Foray on a 66-yard pass and run to put Northwest up 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
