Northwest Conquers the Trojans, 43-7

September 23, 2017

The Jags extended their unbeaten season with a 43-7 road victory of the Gaithersburg Trojans Friday night.

Northwest’s senior running back Juwon Farri score three rushing touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns in four games this season. Farri scored twice from the one yard-line, and broke off a 48-yard touchdown run to stake the Jags to a 20 point lead.

In the second quarter, the Jags defense also got some scoring as senior Donnell Bannister defensive back brought down Trojan running back Bryan DeCarlo in the end zone. The Jags led 22-0.

With two-minutes left in the first half, the Jags senior quarterback Chris Craddock connected with senior receiver Norval Black for a 36 yard touchdown pass. Northwest lead 29-0 at halftime.

Craddock would add to his passing touchdown total with a 36 yard touchdown pass to senior Alphonso Foray to increase the lead to 36-0.

The Trojans would find the endzone as running back Eliel Karamoko sprinted for a three-yard touchdown. The Jags now lead 36-7.

Northwest would add another touchdown in the fourth quarter thanks to a two-yard run by senior Rob McNamee to cap the scoring at 43-7.

The unbeaten Jags will be tested on road next Thursday, Sept. 28 for a rare meeting with private school powerhouse Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney.  The Falcons are 3-1 this season and are coming off a 3-0 victory over Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, Va.
