Germantown Pizza Hut Robbed at Gunpoint

Someone made off with the dough, and not the pizza dough from a Germantown Pizza Hut on Saturday afternoon.

   According to Capt. Mark Plazinski, Commander of the 5th District in Germantown, 5th District major crimes detectives are investigating the armed robbery of the Pizza Hut take out store on in the Fox Chapel Shopping Center at 19733 Frederick Road after an armed man enter the store, showed a handgun and demanded money.

   Plazinski said the robbery took place at about 2:45 pm on Saturday, Sept. 9. He said the suspect is a black male in his 20s. The suspect was approximately 5-foot, 10-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with a trimmed beard. The suspect was armed with a black handgun. He demanded money. The cash was handed over and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

   According to Plazinski, no one was injured in the robbery and investigators continue to work this case. Anyone with information regarding this robbery or the suspect is asked to call the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237.
