Pizza Delivery Man Beaten and Robbed in Germantown



Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from July 31 through August 15.

Police report that a pizza delivery person was beaten and robbed by two men in the 13900 block of Churubusco Lane in Germantown at 12:30 am on Saturday, August 12.

According to police, when the order for the pizza was placed the driver was instructed to send a text to let the customer when the driver was close to the address. As the driver was delivering the pizza to the first suspect, a second suspect sneaked up from behind and knocked to the ground. The suspects demanded money, but the driver didn’t have any. They stole his pizzas a fled.

Police reported a number of residential burglaries:

A residential burglary occurred in the 18800 block of Harmony Woods Lane in Germantown, between approximately 3:00 pm and approximately 5:00 pm on Friday, August 4.

Police report another residential barn burglary occurred in the 26000 block of Long Corner Road, in Damascus, between approximately 7:30 pm on August 10 and approximately 5:10 am on August 11. No signs of forced entry, the door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

Another residential burglary took place in the 11300 block of Halethorpe Terrace in the early morning hours of August 11.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Rocky Road in Gaithersburg between approximately 7:30 pm on August 10 and approximately 8:30 am on August 11. No signs of forced entry, the door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

Another burglary too place in the 19500 block of Frederick Road in Germantown during the early morning hours of August 14. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken. Suspect: 2 Hispanic Males, ages unknown
