A Germantown woman died, and three other people were transported to local hospitals after a fatal collision occurred in Olney on Sunday morning.

According to Montgomery County Police, Wenshu Zhu, 45, of Circle Gate Drive in Germantown succumbed to injuries suffered in the accident when the 2012 Honda Accord she was a passenger in collided with 2015 Ford Mustang at about 10:26 am on July 16.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Honda, which was being driven by Xiaolin Fu, a 51-year-old male, also of Circle Gate Drive, was traveling westbound on Bowie Mill Road and the Mustang, driven by William Eduardo Gonzalez, 21, of Wickham Road in Olney, was traveling eastbound on Bowie Mill Road in the area of Fraley Farm Road when the two cars collided.  The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.

Both drivers, along with a 13-year-old female who was a passenger in the Honda were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Montgomery County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision. Bowie Mill Road and Fraley Farm Road were closed for several hours on Sunday as detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated the collision. The roads have been reopened.
