Two Germantown Teens Arrested for Burglary
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from April 22 through May 9.
Police arrested two 16-year-old teenager boys in connection with a pair of burglaries on Crystal Rock Drive. According to police the teens entered two residences the unlocked sliding glass doors, one in the 19500 block of Crystal Rock Drive at about 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 2, the second took place five minutes later in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive. While police say that nothing was stolen from the first location, MCPD reported that property was stolen from the second location.
On May 3, man was mugged as he walked in the Town Center Shopping plaza in 19700 block of Germantown Road. MCPD says an adult male was approached by a group of four or five black males and a female while walking at about 10:45 pm. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take his property.
MCPD reports the theft of a U-Haul rental vehicle occurred in the 18300 block of Tapwood Road between approximately 11:45 pm on May 1 and approximately 1:30 am on May 2.The keys were reported to have been left in the vehicle.
A residential burglary occurred in the 11500 block of Seneca Forest Circle between approximately 10:00 am on April 20 and approximately 9:00 pm on April 22. Forced entry; property was taken.
A residential garage burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same residence in the 13300 block of Waterford Hills Boulevard in the early morning hours of April 21. No signs of forced entry, the garage door was reported to be malfunctioning and possibly left open; cash and property were taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle between approximately 1:17 pm and approximately 2:40 pm on Thursday, April, 27. Forced entry; property was taken. Police said the suspects were three black males, one late teens, another male age 20-29, and third suspect in his 30s.
A residential burglary occurred in the 13900 block of Schaeffer Road between approximately 12:45 pm and approximately 3:50 pm on May 1. Forced entry; property was taken.
Two thefts from vehicles occurred between approximately 12:00 am on Friday, May 5 and approximately 5:30 am on Saturday, May 6. One theft occurred in the 12600 block of Misty Meadow Place and one theft occurred in the 19000 block of Laurel Grove Terrace. No force, both vehicles were reported to possibly have been left unlocked; property was taken.
Four more thefts from vehicles occurred between Monday, May 1 and Sunday, May 6. Affected streets included Schaeffer Road, Bear Creek Drive, and Steeple Place. No force, three vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the fourth vehicle; cash and property were taken. MCP urges all residents to take a role in preventing this type of crime by removing valuables from vehicles and locking all doors.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on May 18.
