Jesse Irvin, Athletic Director at Seneca Valley, announced that junior Rosemary Cunningham and senior Marcus Toombs have been named the Seneca Valley Scholar-Athletes for the Month of April.
Rosemary Cunningham plays lacrosse and is a straight A, International Baccalaureate student athlete. “She is an active member of FCA and is seen as a leader in her classes and on the lacrosse field,” said Irvin. “In classes, she tutors other students, and she is always respectful to her teachers. Rosemary has managed to maintain her high grade point average while being completely committed to the team.”
Marcus Toombs is senior on the baseball team. “Marcus is an excellent student athlete who possesses leadership skills that exemplifies a Screaming Eagle,” said Irvin. “Last year he was awarded a scroll from Omega Psi Phi for his academic achievement. Currently, Marcus his batting over .500. He attends every practice diligently, and his peers selected him as one of the captains of our baseball team. Marcus is a testament to what a student athlete should be.”
