Firefighters Battle Shed Fire in All Souls Cemetery

March 28, 2017

Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units were called to battle a fire in a maintenance shed at All Souls Cemetery at 11401 Brink Road in Germantown on Saturday.

According to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer, units from Germantown, Clarksburg, Gaithersburg, as well as Laytonsville were required to extinguish the fire in a shed next to the maintenance building. The fire was reported at 7:30 pm on Saturday, March 25.

First arriving units found the shed fully involved with some extension into a larger maintenance building. Fire officials estimate the damage at about $20,000. Piringer said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
