Small Fire Damages Apartment Building on Crystal Hill Circle

A small fire at an apartment building on Crystal Hill Circle is being investigated by the Montgomery County Fire Marshall, according to fire officials.

Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service units were called to the 20700 block of Crystal Hill Circle at about 3:30 pm on Thursday, March 2. Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire on the first-floor exterior and crawlspace in the three-story multi-family dwelling at 20717 Crystal Hill Circle.

According to MCFRS senior spokesman Pete Piringer said fire investigators and a building inspect were called to the scene to investigate the damage the fire did to the building. The fire apparently affected Washington Gas equipment at the building, because Piringer said the gas company was also called to the scene to investigate.

The building was evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
