High Wind Advisory for Germantown Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Advisory for Germantown and all of Montgomery County and the entire Washington D.C. region. The High Wind Advisory will begin at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1 through 10:00 am Thursday, March 2.
The NWS advises that the highest winds are expected Tuesday night and overnight. Winds will be from the west at 20- to 30-mph with gusts around 50- to 55-mph. “Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible,” said the National Weather Service advisory. “A Wind Advisory means that winds of 50- to 55- mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.”
