Model Homes to Open at Courts of Clarksburg

February 23, 2017

Model homes for the new active 55-and-over development community begin built in Clarksburg will be unveiled to the public at an open house this Saturday, Feb. 25.

One of the Metro DC’s largest homebuilders is opening its first Pulte Homes Active Adult community in Clarksburg. Courts of Clarksburg reflects an innovative new offering of smaller, more intimate communities in close-in locations that appeal to still-working empty nesters and retirees alike.

Courts of Clarksburg unveils two new models to the public on Saturday, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. “We are excited to reveal this community, and more than 1,200 people have joined an interest list,” said Jarod Blaney, division president for PulteGroup’s Mid-Atlantic Division.

The Courts of Clarksburg community, which sits just off Ridge Road in Clarksburg, between Brink Road and Snowden Farm Parkway, will have 140 single-family homes with main level living that offers a convenient location and Life Tested home designs. The age-restricted community has its own clubhouse, trails, garden plots, and grill area, but is part of Clarksburg Village, which has amenities, including Olympic-size swimming pools and 55 miles of walking and jogging trails.

“We are expanding our community and product offerings to better serve the diverse interests and life stages of today’s baby boomers,” Blaney said. “As boomers continue to work longer, the goal is to provide more options, be it a large-scale active adult community with abundant recreational facilities, or an intimate community that is close to your job, family and social interests.”

With baby boomers representing one of the largest segments of the American population, Blaney said PulteGroup has been identifying opportunities for smaller, more intimate 55+ communities, with easy access to major employment corridors. Courts of Clarksburg is close to major commuting routes, abundant shopping and dining, the new Clarksburg Premium Outlets, golf, and entertainment and medical facilities.

Three home designs are available ranging from 1,676- to 2,967-square feet of living space with 2- to 5-bedrooms, 2- to 4-bathrooms, and an open-concept floor plan. Homebuyers can choose one-story or two-story living, with owner’s suites on the first floor. Other home features include spacious kitchens, expansive owner’s suites, oversized showers, sitting rooms and guest suites to accommodate visiting friends, college kids, or grandchildren. Options also include adding two-story living with loft space, sunrooms, and basements. Pricing starts in the $500,000s.
